2. SOUNDBITE (Hebrew) Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister:
"We are in the midst of a campaign. Since yesterday, the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) has been striking hundreds of strikes on Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza. We eliminated commanders, we hurt a lot of their quality targets. The conclusion of the meeting is to increase even more, the force of the strikes and also the rate of the strikes. Hamas will now receive blows that it did not expect and I know that this also involves patience and a certain sacrifice on your part, citizens of Israel.  Unfortunately, two of our civilians were killed. I ask all of you to obey the instructions, to strictly observe the instructions of the Home Front Command, it saves lives. We still have a certain way to go, we will do it together responsibly, with the full backing for the attacks that the IDF is striking and will strike."

4. SOUNDBITE (Hebrew) Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister:
"I also want to say a word about the Arabs of Israel, there was a wild riot here yesterday that we cannot accept from warm-hearted young people. Our directive is to do everything to maintain law and order. I expect all public leaders, and first and foremost the leaders of the Arab public, to stand here, condemn this riot and do everything in their power to restore calm. We have given instructions to reinforce the police forces with more battalions of the border police, we will reinforce them as much as necessary to maintain law and order in the state of Israel, and here too we need the cooperation of you, of all Israeli citizens."

STORYLINE:
Israel unleashed more airstrikes on Gaza on Tuesday, as Hamas and other armed groups bombarded southern Israel with hundreds of rockets.
But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned later in the day that more was coming.
Speaking after meeting with senior defence officials, he said Israel would âincrease even more the strength of the strikes and also the rate of the strikes.â
Hamas would receive "blows now that it didnât expect,â Netanyahu added.
In a further sign of rising tensions, Israel signalled it would widen its military campaign.
The military said it was sending troop reinforcements to the Gaza border and the defence minister ordered the mobilisation of 5,000 reserve soldiers.
The latest exchange of fire was sparked by weeks of tensions in contested Jerusalem.
Since sundown on Monday, 26 Palestinians - including nine children and a woman- were killed in Gaza, most by air strikes, Gaza health officials said.
The Israeli military said at least 16 of the dead were militants.
During the same period, Gaza militants fired hundreds of rockets toward Israel, killing two Israeli civilians and wounding 10 others.
