Sudanese RSF Leader Appeals for International Aid in Conflict

Sudanese paramilitary leader Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo said last week he was committed to a cease-fire to end the devastating war that has wrecked his country, even as his rival, army chief Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, said there will be “no reconciliation.” In a continuing show of external diplomacy for the war-torn country, Dagalo has met with five African heads of state, most recently Rwandan President Paul Kagame. For analysis VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Kholood Khair, the director of Confluence Advisory, a Khartoum-based think tank.
