Conflict Causes Mass Displacement in Northern Mozambique

Extremist insurgent groups have been driving the violence in Mozambique’s northern region since 2017, displacing more than 800,000 people, according to the United Nations. In recent years, however, humanitarian groups say assistance from Rwandan and Southern African troops has helped in decreasing attacks. VOA’s Sergio Nhambi spoke to humanitarian organizations working in the region and some displaced by violence and has this story, in this story narrated by Joao Jose Santarita.
