Analysis: Protests Against Living Costs in Kenya Subside

Protests in Kenya have slowed down Friday with Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga saying he will not talk to President William Ruto because “he is not to be trusted.”
Protesters are angry following a newly introduced tax bill that they say leave them with little money to feed their families. Additionally, clashes between Kenya’s opposition-led anti-tax protesters and police this month have left scores dead, including a prominent boxer who was shot last week in Nairobi.
