A Conversation with Alice P. Albright, CEO, Millennium Challenge Corporation
March 10, 2023
As we commemorate Women’s history month, host Carol Castiel talks with a woman at the helm of a unique US foreign assistance agency, which enjoys strong bipartisan support. US President Joe Biden nominated Alice P. Albright to lead the Millennium Challenge Corporation, created in 2004 under Republican President George W. Bush. The MCC aims to combat poverty and corruption through economic growth and stringent accountability measures. Just back from Sierra Leone and en route to Morocco, Albright discusses MCC’s critical work throughout Africa and highlights projects in Mongolia, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Kosovo, the Solomon Islands and elsewhere.
