THE BALANCE OF POWER HERE IN WASHINGTON IS STILL UNCLEAR.

L3: John Fetterman; (D) Pennsylvania Senator-elect
"I never expected that we were going to turn these red counties blue. But we did what we needed to do, and we had that conversation across every one of those counties. And tonight, that's why I'll be the next U.S. senator from Pennsylvania (applause)."
"I'm just so proud of the race that we ran. And, you know, this campaign has always been about fighting for everyone who's ever been got knocked down that ever got back up."
THIS, RACE WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN THE COUNTRY — MORE THAN 312 MILLION SPENT.
PLUS TWO FORMER AND ONE SITTING PRESIDENT CAMPAIGNED THERE OVER THE WEEKEND.
BUT A KEY BRIGHT SPOT FOR REPUBLICANS INCLUDES A BIG WIN FOR FLORIDA GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS. HE WON BY 20 POINTS ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.
DURING HIS CAMPAIGN, DESANTIS DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM DONALD TRUMP — WHILE STILL SUPPORTING SOME OF THE SAME POLICIES.
HE’S WIDELY EXPECTED TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2024 AND TO BE A MORE MODERATE ALTERNATIVE TO DONALD TRUMP.
