((NARRATION)) 9-year-old Jaden Luna, a survivor of the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas, remembers his last day at the school. ((Jaden Luna, Uvalde Shooting Survivor)) “And then this happened.” ((NARRATION)) Jaden and his classmates' daily routine was interrupted by an 18-year-old gunman, identified as Salvador Ramos. ((Jaden Luna, Uvalde Shooting Survivor)) “We were outside at recess and our coach was like ‘go inside’ and then we heard like three gunshots, and then we just heard like yelling and then that’s all we heard." ((NARRATION)) Jaden's story moves his father. ((Víctor Luna, Jaden Luna’s Father)) ((in Spanish, voiceover needed)) “He knows that he went through a tragedy that he should not have gone through. … Thank God that he is fine.” ((NARRATION)) Not everyone in the school of 600 students was as lucky as Jaden. ((Chris Olivarez, Texas Department of Public Safety)) "We have confirmed the death of 19 children and two adults. Two teachers. And another 17 injured in this horrific tragedy, this massacre that took place here." ((NARRATION)) … adding that what motivated the attacker, whom the police shot to death, is not yet known. ((Chris Olivarez, Texas Department of Public Safety)) “He did live with his grandparents here in Uvalde, Texas, did go to a local high school here. We have not been able to identify any friends, a girlfriend. We do know for a fact that he had no criminal history, no gang affiliation.” ((NARRATION)) What is also certain is what Cynthia Luna, mother of Jaden and grandmother to other students at the school, remembers of that day … ((Cynthia Luna, Jaden Luna’s Mother)) "The scare we went through.
